Dhakshina & Sahana

Once upon a time, there lived two ducks near a pond. They were not happy, because every time they laid some eggs, a mongoose used to eat one of the eggs.  The ducks did not know what to do, that time they saw a fox, and they asked the fox to help them to shoo away the mongoose and save their eggs. The fox looked cunningly at the ducks and said "show me where you live, and I will shoo away the mongoose for you". The ducks happily thanked the fox and showed him where they lived. The next morning, the fox saw the mongoose approaching the ducks' nest. There began a terrible fight between the mongoose and the cunning fox. At last the fox chased away the mongoose. The ducks thanked the fox for saving their eggs.  That night the fox came and eat all the eggs, and didn't even leave a single egg. The next day the duck came to know what the fox had done. The ducks realised that by trying to save one egg from the mongoose, they lost all the eggs to the fox. The ducks learnt the ...

Two men went to camp in the forest. They had a lot of bananas with them for lunch. A monkey saw the bananas, they looked very ripe and tasty. Then the men eat the banana and took a nap after that. As soon as they fell asleep, the monkey jumped down from the tree and eat as many bananas as it could. It was not satisfied still, and took as many bananas as it could carry with both hands. When the monkey was climbing back up the tree, a banana slipped out of its hands and fell down. The greedy monkey did not want to leave a single banana behind and went back down to get it. The men heard the noise and woke up, they saw the monkey trying to steal the bananas. They quickly chased the monkey away, and it had to drop all the banana it was carrying, in order to escape.  The monkey lost all the bananas it was carrying because it wanted the slippery banana which had fallen down. So the monkey learned the lesson that it should not be greedy. Morale of the story:  Never be greedy  🐵 ...
